I don’t know about you but all I’ve had on my social media timeline the last week is people debating when we’re allowed to get into the Christmas spirit. Ooo’ing and arghing over this years John Lewis ad versus ‘my Christmas tree is up in the loft until the 1st December’ memes. But what ever side of the fence you are on we all love food right? And what better way to all come together and agree than over Pret A Manger‘s Christmas Lunch Sandwich which hit stores last week.
Pret have been bringing us one of the best ranked Christmas Sandwiches for years and with 50p of every Christmas Special donated to the Pret Foundation Trust I’m pretty sure no one will argue with tucking into one of these in November.
I enjoyed the classic Christmas Lunch which consists of free-range Lincolnshire Turkey breast, herby stuffing, crispy onions, fresh baby spinach and cranberry & port sauce. Every year I’m amazed by how much I enjoy these things and how much they actually taste like Christmas dinner sandwiched between malted brown bread. I’ll be honest if these came out in July I’d have one regardless of the fact we’d be in the height of Summer and 6 months early.
Pret have also brought out their first ever Vegan Christmas baguette this year complete with grilled carrots, parsnip puree, crispy onions, Pret’s own festive chutney, freshly toasted pistachios and peppery watercress. This sits alongside the classic Ham Hock, Brie and Cranberry, Veggie Christmas Lunch and more delicious savoury and sweet treats.
What’s your favourite Christmas Sandwich?
The Pret Foundation Trust has a simple goal – to help break the cycle of homelessness. The Apprenticeship Scheme is supported by contributions throughout the year and enables them to open the doors for hundreds of people. Offering them a fresh start with real support, real training and a real job without having to worry about the little things like food, travel, and accommodation which are taken care of.
